MEET JOEY GIBBONS

Joey Gibbons has been the CEO of Gibbons Whistler since 2004. Established in 1979, the Gibbons name has been synonymous with Whistler for over 37 years. Gibbons now encompasses five iconic bars, festivals and events, Deep Cove Brewers + Distillers, Gibbons Aprés Lager and Gibbons Life, our experiential travel program, designed to connect the world to Whistler. Joey feels his passion, together with the expertise of his team, showcases all that Whistler has to offer.

Joey has spent most of his life in Whistler and competed on the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team in his youth. He attended Bishop’s University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business and economics and has been part of the Young Presidents’ Organization since 2005. He now shares his passion for the mountains with his wife and their four children.

Joey understands that if the Whistler community is thriving, then business will too. That’s why Gibbons Whistler gives back to groups and individuals that keep Whistler true to its soul, like its athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs. Joey is passionate about growing a team of young professionals who are engaged, motivated and looking to succeed in business and life. Thanks to this focus, Gibbons Whistler is growing and being recognized as a dynamic and forward-thinking company that is set to do big things.
