CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS IN WHISTLER

It’s officially December and Santa will be sliding down the chimney in only 25 days. Are you celebrating the Holidays in Whistler?

Whistler is a special place, but during the holidays, Whistler becomes a magical snowy village. Whether you are a local or a tourist there are lots of festive events to get you into the holiday spirit.

Mountain FM & The Westin Christmas Breakfast

Start your holiday festivities off right by giving back to the less fortunate. The 15th annual Mountain FM & Westin Christmas Breakfast takes place Thursday, December 6 at the Westin Resort & Spa.  Bring a new toy, non-perishable food item, or cash donation for the Sea to Sky Corridor food banks and have an amazing buffet breakfast that Buddy the Elf would be proud of.

Locals Tip: If you are dashing through the snow and don’t have time for a sit-down breakfast they do a drive-through.

Don your ugliest Christmas sweater, gather all your jingle ladies, and head on down to Buffalo Bills on December 11 to shake it like a pole-oriod picture, at Buffalo Bills Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. If you have the best, worst Christmas sweater you will win a $100 bar tab!

Rumour has it that sexy Santa Claus will be in attendance for you to sit on their lab and take holiday photos that will have your mates wishing they were in Whistler for the Holidays.

Locals Tip: Make sure you get inside before 10 PM to receive a ballot for your chance to win a Ride or K2 Snowboard.

Locals Tip: The first 100 people dressed in full Santa or Mrs. Clause attire will receive a complimentary lift ticket. The meeting location is at Merlin’s patio at 7:30 am at the base of Blackcomb Mountain.

O come, all ye faithful to Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers annual holiday social on December 21st in North Vancouver. Sip on some warm mulled wine and dine on hot turkey sandwiches while listening to Terminal City Brass Band and enjoying table-side magic.

Party in Whistler over the Holidays

The tree isn’t the only thing getting lit this holiday season. The Bangers & Mash crew will be dropping XMAS Bangers at Garfinkel’s Whistler on December 23rd and it’s going to be one to remember – so Merry Bassmas ya filthy animals!

Or if you are looking for something country check out Santa’s Ho Ho Hoedown at The Longhorn Saloon. We will also be giving away some Foon Skis, which would be a great Christmas gift for yourself.

On Christmas Eve Tapley’s Pub is hosting a special edition of Not Your Grandma’s Bingo – Ugly Christmas Sweater BINGO.

Locals Tip: In need of a sweater? Check out Amos & Andes in the Village or the Re-use it Centre at Nesters.

Chritmas Dinner in Whistler

Looking for a place to feast on Christmas day? Stonesedge Whistler is doing a festive Christmas Supreme with stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy.  Their warm handcrafted cocktails will have you singing Fa La La La as you watch the snow outside.

Locals tip: Make sure to make a reservation as this is a very popular restaurant in Whistler, especially for Christmas dinner.

December 26th – 31st – this is the time of year when everyone is full of yule log and mulled wine. It’s time to rest and rejuvenate, and do some online shopping (hello boxing day sales) and get ready to say goodbye to 2019 in style.

Here are some of the best NYE parties in Whistler to finish off the holidays in Whistler. There are so many we had to dedicate a whole separate blog just for them.

Happy Holidays everyone!
