Timber Creek Lodge Bravo

Whistler must be doing something right.

Our mountain town will, once again, be front and centre before millions of television viewers as part of a new Bravo docu-series/reality show. It’s called Timber Creek Lodge, putting Whistler in the spotlight just as it was during last season’s Après Ski.

Now, we know there are people out there wondering: Why would Gibbons do another season of reality TV?

The answer is really quite simple: I feel that we would be remiss if we didn’t.

Après Ski brought people to Whistler. It helped fill beds. It filled our bars. It helped keep Whistler’s restaurants busy. It put Whistler on the map for thousands, if not millions, of people who had never heard of our resort town before. By these standards, Après Ski was a success.

So who would pass up on the opportunity to have Whistler — its breathtaking beauty and the endless shenanigans in the mountains — beamed into more than 90 million American households once again?

Timber Creek Lodge features our Gibbons Life concierges living on site with our guests, accessible to them at all times and able to cater to their every whim. After all, that’s the name of the game at Gibbons Life — showing people a great time in the mountains.

The people who will be watching Timber Creek Lodge are the ideal demographic for Gibbons… and for Whistler. They are Americans, with disposable income, and a sense of adventure. Americans are some of our best customers at Gibbons, for several reasons. Their dollar is on sale so they’re ready to spend money when they get here; they tend to be very generous to our staff; and, perhaps most of all, we find our American guests come here ready to party, to celebrate life and have fun. So, we’re going to do everything we can to entice them here.

To be completely frank, it would be so much easier to sit back and wait for other people or organizations to fill my businesses. I’d rather get out there and do my part; drive business here and have a hand in our success in the short and the long-term.

So now you know. Going back on the air to take part in another reality show was really a no-brainer.

Tune in to Bravo on Monday Dec. 5 to see Timber Creek Lodge and enjoy the fun!
