When Whistler’s streets are full of brightly, and tightly, clad people who look oddly serene as the rest of us dash around, it can mean only one thing – the Whistler Wanderlust Festival has rolled into town.
Yogis from around the globe descend on our mountain town for some down-dogging, dancing and dining whilst sharing their wisdom in an amazing line-up of events. The Whistler Wanderlust Festival runs from July 31 – Aug 4, and is the producer of the largest yoga lifestyle events in the world – all we can say is it’s pretty cool they chose to bend and stretch their way over to our neck of the woods.
“Wanderlust is an opportunity to choose your own adventure and live it in a beautiful, natural location like Whistler,” said Wanderlust co-founder Jeff Krasno. “We look forward to bringing people together to celebrate, exchange ideas and experience the good things in life.”
Whilst you read this post, you could really get into this whole Wanderlust thing by cranking up their playlist. Now you’ve done that, here’s a run down of some of the cool things happening in our community that you can get involved with.

Spectacle
Nicknamed the “Cirque du Soleil of yoga,” the Wanderlust Spectacular is a multilayered show that brings together artists from diverse fields of performance such as acroyoga, slacklining, Budokan (martial arts) yoga and hooping.
Food
Guests can experience “Winderlust,” an evening of wine samplings and beer tastings from local, organic, and biodynamic vineyards. Or, the Wanderlust Farm-to-Table dinner, which features a chef-crafted meal sourced from the freshest, seasonable ingredients from local British Columbia farms.
