The past months have brought unprecedented challenges that we as a team, a community, a nation, and globally have had to navigate and overcome. Whistler has always been a popular destination, but since BC has transitioned into phase 3, meaning local travel is possible, it has become increasingly popular with Vancouverites and BC residents. Here are some tips on how to enjoy Whistler safely:
BOOK ACCOMMODATIONS RIGHT IN THE HEART OF WHISTLER VILLAGE
Whistler Village is very pedestrian-friendly. By booking your accommodation right in the heart of the village you have the ability to walk to a majority of the main attractions. Gibbons Life currently has three properties in the Carleton Lodge ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom. Save 30% on your Whistler accommodation by using the promo code SUMMER2020.
RESERVE YOUR TABLES IN ADVANCE
Our venues are currently operating at a limited capacity so we highly recommend booking your tables in advance to ensure access. For lunch in the sun or an afternoon beverage, we recommend reserving a spot on Longhorn’s Legendary Patio or on one of Black’s Pub’s two patios. Both have amazing views of the mountain and are great spots to watch bikers ride into the plaza. Stonesedge Kitchen is a must-visit in Whistler if you are looking for a place to have a delicious brunch or dinner. For late evening activities, we recommend reserving a table at Buffalo Bills. Buffalo Bills has pool tables, darts, arcade games, and more. *All our venues are following proper Covid-19 safety protocols. To learn more about the safety measures we have in place click here.
ORDER TAKEOUT AND DELIVERY
Whistler has some beautiful green spaces that are perfect for picnics or if you feel liking dining in your room or at home we can help! Stonesedge Kitchen, Tapley’s Pub, and Black’s Pub are all offering takeout and delivery in Whistler. Delivery is provided by Whistler Dine-In and is available from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm, 7 days a week. You can also add wine or beer to your takeout and/or delivery order.
BE COVID SMART
Being COVID smart means limiting your group size, washing your hands often, and practicing safe distancing. Group sizes in our venues are currently restricted to a maximum of 6 people, which is something to keep in mind if you are traveling with friends or family. We also have numerous measures and protocols in place at each venue to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. Click here to learn more about these Covid-19 Safety Measures.
