What time can I start drinking beer?

We will be opening the gate right at noon! As is the case with all festivals, there’s a few steps like bag & ID check (make sure you have 2 pieces!), getting your super cool wristband and GOBF sampling mug.

New for 2020, there will be only one entrance – near the Dolphin statue off Water Street. There will be no Marina Entrance.

What time do I have to stop drinking beer?

We will be doing last call at 4:30pm and last pour at 4:45 with a hard stop at 5:00pm. From there, keep the good times rolling at local pubs and restaurants. Never drink and drive – please use public transport, a taxi service or designated driver to get you home safely!

Should I bring cash or credit card?

Both will be accepted but cash is king and will definitely make things faster for you. Some breweries may be selling merchandise, food vendors may vary, but token sales will be cash and credit. ATM’s will also be available on site.

How much are tokens?

Tokens are available in 5- and 10-packs for $11.00 and $22 respectively.

I heard a rumour about Beer Fairies…

You heard right! We will have a team of Beer Fairies on site selling beer tokens. Heads up: these fairies only deal in cash.

Beer makes me hungry. What can I eat on site?

There will be a number of local food vendors cooking up some delicious eats for you all day long. Check out our Food + Music page for the most up-to-date information.

Can I bring my own food?

Think of the festival site as a restaurant. We can’t have any outside food on site either. Our food vendors’ creations are delicious and pair perfectly with beer & cider!

Can I bring my pet dog/cat/dragon/etc?

As much as we love all animals, we cannot allow any pets on site unless they are registered service animals with proper identification.

I’m a new parent, can I bring my baby/infant/toddler?

Congratulations! What an exciting time! While we are so happy for you, we cannot jeopardize our license, regardless of cuteness. Absolutely no minors are permitted within the grounds.

What if I need to leave the grounds at some point?

Due to our license and capacity restrictions, there will be no re-entry once you have left site. There will be signs and security to remind you, so bring whatever you need with you!

Can I smoke at GOBF?

We will have a designated area for smoking. There is to be no smoking outside of this area and that includes e-cigarettes and vaping.

How does the All Access pass work?

The All Access express entry has a separate queue to the General Access ticket holders, we’ve limited the All Access ticket inventory which means a much speedier entry for you. The start time of the event is the same for all our ticket holders at noon.

Once you’ve had your tickets scanned you’ll be given your All Access SWAG bag containing various goodies including the lunch voucher.

As you enter the site you’ll be handed your beer mug for the day including 10 beer tokens, each token entitles you to one 4oz pour (which is the size of your mug). If you’d like to buy more beer tokens you can do so from the Box Office or from one of our lovely Beer Fairies who’ll be walking around the site.

5 x tokens: $11

10 x tokens: $22
