Café Server (Seasonal Summer Role)

Summary:

 The Adventure Group’s (TAG) mission is to create spectacular experiences for people that lead to moments of personal growth. The Café staff provide exceptional service to enhance the guest’s experience.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Greeting all guests and create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the café and base area
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all guests at café and base
  • Set up and sell food and beverages to guests and staff at Cougar Base
  • Adhere to all health and safety and food safe standards
  • Maintain a very clean and tidy café – both the inside and outside areas – according to TAG’s standards and expectations
  • Maintain all food and beverage supplies and ensuring timely replenishing of food, beverage and supplies
  • Maintain open communication with operations team to ensure preparedness for guests
  • Assist with unique group events as required
  • Collect and manage all cash and payments for café sales
  • Complete daily cash out and be responsible for daily reconciliation
  • Open and closing café procedures and adherence to café operating procedures
  • Provide operational guidance and support to ensure the Café, and Cougar Base Operations, operate and comply with all safety regulations as it pertains to COVID-19
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of SOP’s related to COVID-19
  • Provide Management feedback and input to improve safety processes and procedures as it pertains to running TAG while keeping our guests and employees safe from COVID-19
  • TAG is proud to have a dynamic team who roll up their sleeves to get the work done. As such, this role may require helping out other team members and departments as needed

Key Qualifications and Attributes: 

  • Previous experience working in café, restaurant, or related required. Sound understand of food and beverage industry
  • Previous cash handling experience required
  • Food safe certification
  • Proven ability to provide high level guest service
  • Attention to detail and ability to sweat the small stuff
  • Flexible and adaptable to business fluctuations and guests needs
  • Able to work on your feet for the majority of the shift. Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to multi-task and manage a number of tasks in varying degrees of completion at the same time
