Beverage Operations Manager – Festivals & Events

Part Time (until festival week(s) which will require full time hours)

Who are you?
We provide a world-class guest experience to all our festival goers and partners. As the Beverage Operations Manager you will be a key member of our Festivals & Events team in the planning stages leading up to each festival & event, and the excitement of the execution on the day/weekend of the activation.

General Accountabilities:
Event Preparation:

  • Brewery liaison, sign up breweries, draft brewery documents and contracts
  • Brewery Invoicing, Product Ordering, Distribution & Delivery (breweries, direct tap, container world, and BCLDB)
  • Distribute SEP information to breweries for ordering through licence #
  • Hire and coordinate refrigerated truck rentals
  • Manage deliveries to distributor and coordinate on time delivery and pick up
  • Schedule brewery arrival on festival set up day
  • Compile all legal documentation for licensing on the day with regards to the breweries and products
  • Recruit and manage small Bev Ops team for event activations
  • Assist with peripheral events (Craft Cultures, Master Crafters, etc)
  • Keep a consistent, open communication channel with breweries and the reps

During event:

  • Coordinate brewery load in, set up, and tear down for 60+ breweries onsite
  • Lead team of Bev Ops crew for product distribution, token, and inventory management
  • Primary contact for all the brewery reps on site
  • Have all relevant and required documentation on hand for presentation if required from police, liquor inspector and/or RMOW

Post event:

  • Manage returns, refunds, and invoicing
  • Post event surveys with breweries
  • Post event SWOT analysis with the F&E team

Other Duties:

  • Involved in execution of other contract events throughout the year, pop up bars, beer gardens etc.
  • Support the F&E Operations Manager with all aspects of preparation, load in, and load out of Festival & Event sites
  • Assist the F&E manager and finance team to ensure profitability and ongoing development of our festivals program
