End the year on a creative high at Garfinkel’s. Tomorrow, Tuesday Dec 30 at Garfinkel’s they’re showcasing two talented artists. Both artists have been a hit at the live Art Throw Down nights but now Tori Hillier and Chad Depner will have their own time to shine as they paint live – just for fun, just for you.
Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 9pm.
You’ve seen what they can do in only 30 minutes at our Art Throw Down nights. Now watch their talents unfold as they each get their own time in the spotlight.

About the Artists
Tori Hillier
Tori Hillier is a long time local artist and graphic designer in the community and has been a regular at the live Art Throw-Downs. She has been expanding her independent design venture over ten years, having worked with companies such a Sitka surfboards and Prior Snow in both graphic and fine art mediums. Recently launching her company, Vanilla Owl Design, her passion for design is actualized in branding of various local businesses all over the sea to sky corridor. Getting back to her roots in Whistler after her BFA at Uvic, she’s opening the show on December 30th with a one hour solo live paint session from 9-10pm.

Chad Depner
Chad Depner is a multidisciplinary artist with a day job as a graphic designer. Drawing, painting, sculpting, jewelry making, printmaking, spray-painting, airbrushing, metalsmithing, etc. Anything from using crayons to heavy machinery to make art. It all just oozes (or explodes) from him. With a fine arts degree from red deer college, he has just completed construction of his art studio in Squamish. This will be his third appearance at the art throw down and he is looking to entertain. With no one else on the stage he will be free to bring out some of his crazier, untested and unique techniques. Using a gigantic four by eight canvas he will use all his resources to fully test the fertile ground of his imagination and that of the audience. Expect things to get crazy!
