Dining in the PEAK 2 PEAK? A Whistler Gondola Dinner Experience. Photo: Joern Rohde

Our posts will be about how YOU can recreate some of the Whistler experiences on the Après Ski show. Read on to start planning your dream trip to the mountains…

Dining in Motion at 1,427 Feet (436 metres)

This is not your average dining experience — hitting two world records before you finish your appies. But then, there is absolutely nothing average about the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. The gondola is a staggering feat of engineering, boasting the longest unsupported lift span in the world (3.024 km or 1.88 miles) and the highest lift of its kind at 436 metres (1,427 ft.), to say nothing of the 360-degree views of snow-capped mountain peaks. Apart from the odd sandwich eaten out of a backpack, dining on the gondola is not something that typically happens. However, our concierges never say never. Working with Whistler Blackcomb on this unique task the team pulled off a multiple course meal in motion.

Let our Whistler concierge team know if this kind of experience would make your trip.

Luxury Pamper Weekend in Whistler: Heli-hot springs

Blackcomb aviation helicopter

Getting to natural hot springs in British Columbia’s backcountry is often a long and arduous journey, only worth it when you sit down and soak in the wild warmth of the natural springs. But when you go to these remote locations by helicopter, soaring over the coastal mountain peaks around Whistler on the way, the journey is as good as the destination. That’s right, jump in an A-star helicopter and fly over ice fields to your own private, back country hot springs. Add in massage therapists, a butler in the buff delivering the champagne and you’ve got some serious mountain inspired pampering. To add in that element of adventure, there’s always a guided ice cave exploration option. Put the details of your journey and destination into the hands of our trusted Gibbons Life concierges. They can take care of everything, from the champagne to the massage therapists, while you soak in B.C.’s natural bounty. Don’t forget to grab some glacier ice for your cocktail!

Tell our Concierge team what your Whistler pamper-package should include.
