Assembling a team of stoke is not a task we took lightly. Whistler is oozing with passionate individuals following their dreams and leaving a trail of inspiration along the way. Fuelled by a go-getter attitude at Gibbons, we wanted to find like-minded movers and shakers in our Whistler world for our Après Lager team. We proudly introduce you to our growing list of individuals known as the Après Lager Ambassadors! These fine humans and a few others we work with regularly (TBA! Wink wink!) are pushing boundaries in various disciplines. We’re pumped on this crew and what they’re getting up to so much that we wanted to reward them for their every effort with a cold one.

Celebrating is something we’re kinda, sorta known for and clearly, this was a reason to do so! We took to Callaghan Country’s Journeyman Lodge – one of our favorite places – for a retreat and team bonding experience! Haven’t heard about it?! We’re surprised but have no fear, we’ve got lots to say about this Hidden Gem in a previous blog post. Our “Night Skiing in Whistler” was also filmed in the expansive terrain surrounding Journeyman Lodge! Crack a cold one, press play and meet the Après Lager Ambassadors – cheers to a new team, a new year and an incredible time at Journeyman Lodge!

MEET THE TEAM

ANDREW SANTOS

AKA Santos. He’s a videographer that captures good times and high levels of stoke, with a passion for traveling; he’s filmed in over 48 countries. When Santos isn’t behind the camera, you’ll find him either mountain biking or snowboarding. A master at both living in the moment and capturing it, Santos has created a vlog channel that is well worth your time. Give him a follow and even scope out his behind the scenes vlog from our recent ambassador retreat! For all things Santos you can find them on his team bio.

JESSA GILBERT

Jessa is an artist and adventurer creating art that celebrates wilderness and adventure. She brings her art materials on the road and into the backcountry to better capture the spirit and tone of those landscapes. When she’s not creating, you’ll find her hunting pillow lines as a snowboard guide at Baldface, hauling her tent up some peak, pedaling her mountain bike all over the Sea to Sky, or ordering a second round at the local pub. Entertaining and witty interview with this one on Jessa’s team bio page.

TYLER RAVELLE

AKA T-Rav. Always chasing either the snow or the swell, he’s a snowboarder first but a photographer and surfer second. Tyler loves exploring new countries and documenting his adventures on the way. Known for “having the most fun” he’s a pretty good dude to be around no matter what the occasion, find out more about this stud on Tyler’s team bio.

TRISH BROMLEY

As seen on Tinder. K but seriously, Trish is a super rad Toronto transplant who rocks a mountain bike with the best of them. She came to Whistler 9ish years ago for the winters but stayed for the summers, making history at Crankworx 2015 as the first-ever female competitor in the Men’s Dual Speed and Style event. She has 3 brothers and 3 sisters, including a twin who would like to point out that he’s older. Currently training on her timed beer drinking abilities, Trish has lots in store for the upcoming season and her team bio has all the details.

NADIA SAMER

Nadia grew up chasing gates ski racing, before shifting to racing ski cross at the international level. She then turned her focus to big mountain competitions before retiring to the backcountry and focusing on filming and media. She is now a backcountry extreme skier and snowmobiler, and occasionally flies off peaks with her speedwing. In the summer, she can be found in the bike park on flow trails ripping party laps with friends. When she’s not suited up for adventure, she’s probably enjoying a parking lot après in her Dunlop Purofort rig boots, more fun facts about Nadia here.

Nadia couldn’t make the retreat, but no doubt she’s been busy shredding on her own!
