New Bravo "Après Ski" TV Show Showcases Whistler

Everyone in Whistler knows what happens when a good après goes off in style… and now we’re going to show the world.

Gibbons Whistler is part of a new reality docu-series. The Après Ski TV show, which will premiere this fall on Bravo in the U.S. This is not just about dancing in your ski boots as the sun goes down. This is about all Whistler has to offer — epic heliskiing, massages on the mountaintop, downing oysters and champagne after a run on an Olympic bobsled track and, of course, partying.

Gibbons Life: Behind-the-Scenes

The show also gives a behind-the-scenes look at our new start-up called Gibbons Life, a travel company that customizes Whistler experiences to guests around the world, catering to every need and whim. Après Ski TV shows you all the fun and all the debauchery of a Whistler vacation, set in the best playground on the planet. We just couldn’t pass up the opportunity Bravo offered us – the one where we get to share our passion for Whistler with the world.

“It’s a great chance for us to show the world just how awesome Whistler is and at the same time showcase both our new and existing businesses,” says Joey Gibbons, President and CEO of Gibbons Whistler.

We own and operate some of the best party spots in Whistler including the legendary Longhorn Saloon, Buffalo Bills, Tapley’s, Garfinkel’s and the FireRock. The venues are just one division of our growing company, and we want the world to sit up and take notice of Whistler.

“We’re in the middle of developing our own Gibbons après beer and of course there’s the Gibbons Life travel component,” adds Gibbons. “It’s always a case of ‘watch this space’ with us – it’s exciting.”

Après Ski TV: Showcasing Whistler

You’ll get to see all Whistler has to offer on the Après Ski TV show as we follow our travel concierges creating once-in-a-lifetime memories for our clients — think dining in a gondola, or semi-naked butlers delivering après cocktails, or… massaging a client’s guinea pig. You’ll have to watch it to find out what else can happen when the ski boots stay on after the lifts stop turning.

“It’s a great way to create fun… and get people excited about the ski season,” adds Gibbons.

Don’t forget — SKI magazine readers just voted Whistler as having the best après scene, which helped secure it once again as the number one ski resort in North America.

The Après Ski TV Show premieres on Monday, Nov. 2 at 10 p.m., and is co-produced by Tricon Films & Television and Bravo. The show is airing in the U.S. only, but there’s always the chance it could come to Canada too. Stay tuned for more…
