Every year, Gibbons Hospitality hosts some great summer sports tournaments in Whistler, BC and this year we are yet again excited to be hosting the 2016 Whistler Softball Tournament. For the past 15 years we have worked hand in hand with the Whistler Slo Pitch Association to bring our games to the highest level.
- Team Dinner at TBC (Tapley’s or Buffalo Bills) & Free cover to Buffalo Bills & Garfinkel’s on Saturday night.
- 12+ Team Tournament = $1000 1st place prize, $500 2nd place (max 14 Teams)
- 8+ Team Tournament = $600 1st place prize, $300 2nd place
- Home Run Derby & MVP Prizes awarded on Sunday
- Concession BBQ and Beer Garden available on site
- 3 game Round-Robin formats played on the Saturday; Teams are seeded by points (2W, 1T, 0L), then +/- into an elimination knock-out bracket on Sunday.
- 1st and 2nd place receive a bye into round 2 on Sunday.

Event times and playing schedule will be released in the week leading up to the tournament

Rules:
- 7 & 3 format, must bat 10
- No bunting, no stealing, no fighting
- NSA approved bat list
- No touch home plate – there is a line adjacent to cross as well as a line of commitment, no sliding at home plate
- 5 run limit per inning
- Home Run Rule is a match plus 2 – please collect your Home Run Balls
- Mercy Rule is 10 runs after 5 innings
- Unlimited courtesy runners
- Umpires ruling will stand – the umpires will reserve the right to eject any player or team from the game if warranted
- No alcohol in dugouts
- Score sheets are NOT provided
